Doing our part for charity with EJTandemonium
We're supporting an amazing 2,000km cycle ride to raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity
Charity work is vital for communities around the world and here at Dino Media we love doing our bit to help.
One recent example of this has to be our work with EJTandemonium.
We decided to help their amazing cause by donating our services and creating their website. After all, every great charity drive needs a great website to back them up.
The EJTandemonium Story
One the 26th June 2016 the founders of EJTandemonium Jake and Emmy will cycle 2,000km on a tandem bike. Their ride will take them from London, to Copenhagan via Bruge and Amsterdam. They're doing this with a view to raise £100k (if not a little bit more) for an incredibly worthwhile cause The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
This particular charity is incredibly important to reunited childhood sweethearts, Jake and Emmy. Their story surrounds a diagnosis of Medullary Thyroid Cancer for Emmy. A cancer that she fought to have diagnosed for 2 years.
After receiving her diagnosis on the 22nd March, Emmy was then dealt a huge blow by discovering just a few days later that the cancer that she had been suffering with symptoms of for those 2 years had spread to a variety of other locations throughout her body and was now completely incurable.
Emmy decided that she wanted to spend her time not only raising awareness of how cancer can strike at any time of your life, but also raise funds for a cancer charity that is working on ways to treat and maybe one day cure cancer for good.
The treatment for Emmy's cancer is still being developed, with hopes that it can perhaps slow down the development and give her and the others like her who are fighting it, more time to live their lives.
That is why both Emmy and Jake decided to embark on this epic ride, together, just as how they hope to live the rest of their lives thanks to the hard work of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
How Dino Media can help
Whilst we couldn't help them on their journey (and we are not so sure we could have kept up with such an amazing feat) we wanted to show our support for the EJTandemonium cause. That is why we designed their website for them, which went down a storm...
